I expect that by next year there will be many more flowers all around the plant, and that later in the summer, even after the flowers fade, the leaves will create an impressive shiny green mound.
Other flowers that are showing now are grape hyacinths and daffodils,
bloodroot and
.
and perennial alyssum
Don't you just love spring!!!!

It’s a very rainy Spring day so I thought it would be a good time to check in on you and the other Blogs I follow. Can not be out in the dirt so I am here at the computer. Your Spring flowers are very nice. Mine started blooming last week, aconite, scilla, crocus, dwarf Iris, and this week Puschkinia. I agree with you, I love Spring. Jack
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I just planted all my bulbs, waiting for spring now, hope mine look as lovely as yours!
ReplyDeleteIt's so interesting to be talking to gardeners from various parts of the world and realizing that we are all in different weather cycles.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! Hellebores can be so expensive at the nursery, probably because many of them are grown via tissue culture instead of seeds. That's why it is so great to see them leaf out and come to full maturity in the garden. I have a freckled one like this too!
ReplyDeleteYour blooms are looking great. I love spring when there is so much to discover in the garden.
ReplyDeleteI always have to buy one and then hope they reproduce themselves. If it can't be done naturally it just won't work for my garden
